Got a Moyes feel about him. It wont be pretty and maybe the club have beaten me down so much im subconsciously accepting it. But im pleased he's the Everton manager for the upcoming season. He'll probably annoy me a fair bit but i can live with that.
Bit unfair because other teams/managers have good moments of play that contribute to success/winning games. Just because its dyche it doesnt all have to be grit.
Mina was a rock in the 2nd half but long term i wouldnt want that last ditch defending like the alamo to be where we are at. Holding your own with possession would be nice but we're a long way from that.
Yeah we did get it right. If you give any side that space then you'd be mad to think it wont be punished. McNeil was the player who was perfect.
I was responding more to the opinion the squad isnt that bad. It was the perfect 45 minutes. A more realistic view when brighton upped it in the 2nd...
Ask any brighton fan and they will tell you they couldnt believe how their fullbacks played in the first half.
It was a great way to expose it but play that game 50 times and the 1-5 happens once.
I still think they fully expected to win no matter how they played and it showed that you can...
One off freak of a game. I think Brighton thought they only had to show up for the win and arrogance cost them. 2nd half we hardly got out of our own half. The squad is dreadful.
As for dyche. Given the sh!t this club has got itself into im quite pleased he's here for next season.
I would honestly at this stage take 1 place out of the bottom 3. I cant for the life of me see anything there. Everything is a concern. The lack of goals and the real danger we might br playing keane and Godfrey at the back.
Thinking about that last few days. There is an argument to say we could/should have been long gone by then. We played 3/4 quarters of the season with no striker. And its not like the midfield was full of goals and quality.
4 Days on from the last day im still surprised we are in this league...
Like Ancelotti. Polished a turd best he could. Ancelotti had a lot more to work with.
Deserves a chance with at least something that resembles a foward line.
Decent enough interview. Though it may have just been after the game, nobody is celebrating. He will realise that either later or tomorrow. Ive quite enjoyed that part. Absolutely nobody is kidding anyone.
If someone had said to me 3 years ago you'll be planning around Sean Dyche i'd have been mortified.
3 years on the club has fell so much in every aspect its probably now acceptable.
I dont actually see any other alternative as things stand.
Bournemouth spent money in january to try and not be in a final day scenario Everton are in.
This club did nothing in january. Apart from play 4 games and lose every single one of them.
