Agree, with those we`ve been linked with my preference would be (IF there is any truth in them) Watkins Gyokeres Guirassy Adams Broja

Watkins would be a top notch signing, my opinion is him and Dom are battling it out to be Kanes back up..... To have one cover the other or even in the same side would be quality, just my opinion.

Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

I have laboured this point on here many times, I`m not a fan of the 5-2-3, it is very limited and only a handful have ever got it to work. Brighton started to go away from it last season and Wolves are going away from it this season. The only teams using it week in week out is Chelsea and...

Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

I think we can all agree that Lampard, Thelwell and the club have a plan which is good to see, hopefully this benefits us and we see the results on the pitch.

I did say "balancing" and not "balanced", there is still weak players in that squad and yes we need a striker to push Dom, I`ve put Alli there but where does he fit in? Against Palace he played a 3 man midfield with Iwobi and Doucoure which I think he looked the best since we have had him here.

Squad balancing up nicely if this is the way Frank is going, I think it is pretty clear he will be.... Still a massive squad of 33 1st team players including the 4 out on loan.

Beginning to get exciting now, shame about the Chelsea result, dont think we deserved to lose that. Adding Onana and Gueye will add much more to the squad but if we can add a striker of quality we will be really set. Holgate, Mina, Allan, Davies, Gomes, Gbamin and Rondon needs volleying out of...

This is my point, any ball inside has to be to the back 3 MASSIVE hole in the midfield

Not a big fan of 5 at the back which is nailed on what we are going with this season, very limited. Especially with Doucoure and Iwobi 2 man midfield. Hopefully Frank can get a tune out of these but I can see a shift to a back 4 after 5 or 6 games.

    Confirmed Signing Dwight McNeil

I`m not particularly enthused by Dwight McNeil, I will absolutely support the guy and hope he can deliver for Everton. Lets face it, were we all excited by Cahill, Jagielka, Howard, Baines etc when they were announced. I wish we could all give the lad a chance before we give him a label, it...

What we have seen in pre season and it is absolutely clear is that we will be going with 5 at the back and a 2 man Central Midfield, used it in all friendlies so far... No Everton manager should be allowed to introduce such defensive formations, that formation started with Rafael 3 or 4 games...

Just as a demonstration to how to stop us tactically..... They`ve pushed their wingers on high and wide, as a result we have had to leave our wingbacks at home. That has killed us as we cant keep possession now, soon every team will play like that against us....

Having 3 CBs youre missing a man in CM, in a 4-3-3 the low block can happen 15-20 yards outside your area, with 5/3 at the back that block is more like your own penalty area becuase a man man midfield is passive against a 3 which most teams play, there is alot of risk in that... It also makes it...

Correct me if I`m wrong but the last friendly we had at Blackpool in 2020 was 3-3 wasn`t it? We were 3-0 down inside 11 minutes.... Progress!!!! Yes, that was sarcastic. But all joking aside I loathe the 5 at the back and 2 man CM, we are so bad at it, if we want to play that way we need 2...
