    Frank Lampard

I can't recall any era in football where managers had to compete with this level of glare for a job, clearly a lot of this is just for window dressing but it's another embarrassment. What happened to speaking to your No.1 target, and working down a list if you have to? It's no wonder things...

    Frank Lampard

Is there anything credible to suggest its imminent? Haven't seen anything (credible I mean).

    Frank Lampard

I would never have imagined Lampard in the job even weeks ago. You can't make any predictions with Everton. But in terms of his age and playing/management experience, he would be able to relate to the players and they in turn, will respect his playing career if nothing else. What will be will...

Who's next after Benitez - Poll reset 25th Jan

It's probably unlikely that Lampard would want Ferguson out of the picture, but if he did, I'd hope he has the freedom to go ahead and let it be known there is no role for Duncan. If he was worried about upsetting anyone it wouldn't bode well for a relegation scrap. On it's own, it would be a...

    Manager Choice - Why Not?

I actually think he would entertain the idea, but he is under contract and at a club that would have no intention of letting him go. Changing manager in-season can be difficult and we are past the stage now where we can poach managers from clubs well above us in the league, coming into...

Who's next after Benitez - Poll reset 25th Jan

I would expect news by tomorrow, even by Everton's standards it can't go on like this. After yesterday's shenanigans, if Lampard has moved into pole position, I don't expect he will want to wait around much longer.

    Sympathy with Kenwright

No sympathy for Kenwright. It was clear all along - he would only sell out to someone who would allow him retain nominal if not actual control of the train set, he wanted glory on Moshiri's tab. Now that everything has gone south, and his views carry little if no weight, he won't have the...

    Vitor Pereira

At this level having a sulk to the media because you're not loved is well, just embarrassing and ridiculous in equal measure. If he did act independently, then it just shows up what a 2nd-rate candidate he is. The job is extremely tough for whomever gets it, and while he still has more than a...

    Vitor Pereira

If he was still under consideration and did that interview off his own bat then he is a nutter. More likely sadly that he was sent out on a PR job by Moshiri.

    Vitor Pereira

He's getting it now, wouldn't have been sent out like that otherwise.

Would you accept relegation if it meant winning the FA Cup?

No We are not winning it anyway.

    Frank Lampard

Pereira will accept any offer. I hope someone like Lampard might impose conditions in staying on past the end of the season, if we stay up. Get some results, unify the supporters, and see what changes could be forced in the summer. We cannot continue like this. Everything possible needs to...

    Announce Frank.

Who's next after Benitez - Poll reset 25th Jan

The depressing thing is that its hard not to see the cycle continuing even if we do stay up. Perhaps they still decide then that Pereira should be booted so that's yet another manager through the door. We are already hamstrung financially so the likes of DCL and Richy will go with the...

    Vitor Pereira

It's not in anyone's interest to be hostile towards him if and when Pereira is confirmed but this is worrying beyond belief. My main concern is that the players reaction to this will be to think that's it's not a credible appointment and that there is just too much of an air of crisis and...

    Vitor Pereira

And then we turn to Rooney in the summer to take us back up, is it?

    Vitor Pereira

I'm resigned to it. It being whatever happens between now and May. With this owner, catastrophe will strike sooner or later. That's the grim truth.

Who's next after Benitez - Poll reset 25th Jan

Lets hope not. If Pereira gets it, that's the last scintilla of logic gone out the window at the club. It's a truck with no brakes then.

Who's next after Benitez - Poll reset 25th Jan

Might be an underhand way of impressing BK and FM, since they are totally unprepared themselves. Like attracts like. Thats what concerns me about the club now, the sense that its always someone elses responsibility and never your own. It seeps through the club.

Who's next after Benitez - Poll reset 25th Jan

Lampard or Rooney if Kenwright prevails, absolutely anyone else if its Moshiri. They will hardly agree anyway, probably leads to one not answering the others texts for a week afterwards, such is the childish and silly state of affairs.
