    2021/22 Rafael Benitez

The best thing I can say is that to this point I think our point total is pretty fair based on how we're playing. The only worry is that is in large part down to having three penalties in six league matches. We probably won't be having 19 this season so the creativity needs to tick up a bit but...

    2021/22 Abdoulaye Doucouré

That was my issue with him today. He didn't play directly. He was very happy to recycle possession which he's not effective at doing.

    2021/22 Andros Townsend

I don't think any different of him as a player because he scored a penalty. For a team penalties are important. It's why we need to be better at diving. Well in to Allan for that. For evaluating players it is not important if they score from the spot unless you are going to continue to give...

    2021/22 Alex Iwobi

6/10 is better than 4/10. But he's got to give us a bit more.

His delivery is the same every time so hopefully DCL can get the measure of it when he's back.

    2021/22 Abdoulaye Doucouré

Glad he took his chance but he slowed us down a lot today in attack for no real reason. His worst game this year but should be easy to fix.

We've yet to score a goal that was more than a 5 pass move. That's unlikely to change soon. Direct is what we're good at.

It seems like the plan has been to not risk them pre-international break so they can take that off injured. Don't see it changing.

Mina and Keane were sound, Pickford untroubled really but did his job. Digne had one bad moment which people will harp on but was fine. Godfrey similar but obviously way less useful with the ball. I thought Allan did his job more than Abdoulaye did because he's not really being asked to run...

That was my vote. I obviously rated this Doucoure performance lower than most but still MotM is a stretch.

We're actually gonna vote Doucoure man of the match. Wow.

Ref has had a shocker. It hasn't mattered but still.

My question is how many times does Farke get to do this act? He's not keeping them up and he's probably always getting them back up after he fails again.

Lukaku was bad today. Tuchel also hung him and Werner out to dry. Things can be two things. Doucoure has played badly and also scored. Things can be two things.

He scored a goal and has been terrible for the other 81 minutes. I'm really glad he took his chance but he can play far better than this.

He's got to play advantage there. Also great pass from Digne to force Doucoure to run forward as nothing else was on.

That's like the 25th example of why possession is bad for us
