    Best atmosphere at Goodison?

The F. A. cup game at Goodison in 1967 against the rs. 63,000 at Goodison, 40,000 at anfield to watch on big screens. Alan Ball ( of course) scored the winner 1 - 0. Incredible atmosphere. Good times.

" The roof is the only part that looks like his idea". Who designed the rest of the stadium @davek? It was Baines wasn't it, traitor!

There definitely was some opposition to this project. There always is though to a project of this size on a prime location. I hope you are right. This economic situation does worry me though. You know, "Everton that".

I live near Toronto. Sidewalk Labs, a Google company, have just cancelled a more than1 billion dollar waterfront project here because of "unprecedented economic uncertainty". This is one of the richest companies in the world. I hope this isn't a trend that may effect our hopes for BMD.

    Alan Ball.

Best Everton player in my lifetime. Was privileged to see him for us along with Harvey and Kendall. He was the man though. Devastated when he was sold what a terrible mistake, we just weren't the same club after.

1967, that means it can't be Goodison road. There were no seats ha ha. My bad. Still think it's Yeats though.

Further to the Hately, Yeats conundrum. The seats appear to be blue from what i can tell. Certainly not red.

Ok, its spelled Yeats. There is actually no way to definitively say who it is, looks like Yeats to me. If that is Goodison Its the old Goodison road terraces. Maybe someone else can provide more evidence one way or the other.

Just googled it. Hately joined the rs in july 67. If that is Goodison (hard to tell). The rs didn't play at Goodison until Feb 68. Thus it's big Ron Yates. You're welcome.

Wools - Why are you an Evertonian?

From North Wales, now Canada. My dad took me to my first game in April 1963. The famous game where the Alex Young scored to beat Spurs 1 - 0 and we went top of the table. My dad was not happy because he was a bit of a Spurs fan. I wasn't really a fan of anyone at that time, maybe Wolves. I was...

How about giving the vast majority that are not lfc fans a shot in the arm by not gifting them title they have not yet won?

Should we give the RS a guard of honour? (poll)

Even better idea, half and half kits, make a circle in the centre of the pitch and sing Kumbaya.

Me too, we're all blues here, well most of us. You have a lovely day too. Back on topic, no guard of honour for that shower. COYB.
