The result was the important thing last night, not the performance - which I thought was pretty labored to be honest. Thought all the midfield struggled as a four, and amount of times Bernard and Gomez gave it away was so frustrating. Plus, whilst Iwobi is useful for running with the ball, is final delivery is always a big let down.

But anyway, on to the next one and hopefully have more options to choose from if some of the injuries clear up.

The thing is mate that midfield last night except for Doucoure was the same midfield Marco Silva use to play and it was a carbon copy of the type of performances we used to get.... and people want to know why the performance wasn’t outstanding... short memories ay! Carlo is literally performing miracles with this squad and that’s the truth.

Terrible first half but the change of shape and removal of Iwobi made a huge difference.
Even in the 2nd half we didnt play flowing football but on the few occasions that we got the ball down and passed it at a decent tempo we looked so much better.
If DCL had his finishing boots on we would have won comfortably but we will have to play a lot better than that when we play decent teams.

You think if we carry on playing like that we'll keep on winning most of our games?

We aren't creating much, no matter what level of opposition we play. Defending well and hoping you nick something will only get you so far, it's not going to be good enough to get top 4 imo.
So we are 4 points of second place in march! Beat Liverpool away drew at home, beat Chelsea, spurs (home and away), liecster, Arsenal, wolves, drew with united away. Won our last 3 games on the bounce. And your saying we are not good enough for 4th?

Our Lord's son on a scooter.

Give us a chance eh? Get behind the team ffs. Its been dreamland stuff so far. We may not make it but we have a good chance.

Has anyone mentioned Hinchcliffe suggesting that Calvert Lewin could have been sent off for an utterly harmless challenge ? He's usually pretty fair but must have taken the dark side's filthy shilling.
It was rather strange wasn't it? Keep hounding on about him "turning his body" as if that's a tried and tested way to injure a player. Off the top of my head I can't think of a single incident where an injury has occurred by a player turning away from another. Literally the only thing that can happen by turning away is you might clash shoulders or bodies, but that's fine! It was a very weird thing to keep taking about!

Morning... isn't it lovely to not have to say...

Everton 0 Chelsea 1 ... the home side failed to turn up and fell to a superior Chelsea side

West Brom 0 Liverpool 1 .. the home side failed to put away several chances against their high flying visitors who won the game with a late header from their star player..
