A MOTM performance from him tonight for PNE in the 0-0 draw against QPR. He was particularly effective on the ball in the first half , creating chances for himself and others, picking up the ball, running at defenders, shooting and crossing well. He’ll be disappointed he didn’t score as it’s his 20 th birthday today. He said that Alex Neil is giving him freedom to express himself and roam a bit , he played mainly on the left of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1 formation . The only thing I’d say is although he had a decent workrate going forward he was rarely tracking back to help his full back. Maybe he was told not to , to stay up but by comparison to Richarlison his workrate in defence was light, and Carlo will expect more from him in that respect.
