The Brands Model/Project has never been the problem.
Our problems was having our pants pulled down for huge long-term deals for players like Bolasie, Sandro, Klaassen, Tosun, etc and the inconsistency of the managerial appointments.
The club has absorbed huge amounts to soften the mega amounts of wasted money and opportunities with such bad deals.
Add to Koeman, Fat Sam and Silva being given huge amounts to add to the squad to play their way which had been different every season which makes players unable to play in such systems.
Yes it's not been plain sailing for Brands:
• Not getting Centre Back and Defensive Cover
• Some misses buying i.e. Iwobi, Bernard, Delph
But with a truly unique and special manager in Carlo Ancelotti, we can reach a higher standard of footballer who will be attracted to the club and it's future.

We are slowly adding and dropping towards this number but most importantly getting a better standard of squad across the team. It's been only 2 years since Brands joined and he is getting us closer to his vision then previous years but Carlo is the biggest indication that we are going upwards rather then down.
