Ridiculous exercise as illustrated below, but our starting line up assuming we land the three we have been linked with (Allan, Doucoure and Florenzi). Immediately our front six looks immeasurably stronger than what we dished out post lockdown.

(Delph could cover LB/CM, Florenzi could cover RB/CM/RW, Walcott RW, Gordon LM/LW)

That would leave Branthwaite, Iwobi, Davies, Siggurdsson, Bernard, LB cover, Kenny/RB cover out of the team/surplus to requirements.

Florenzi is a better RB than Coleman.

Florenzi is a better RB than Coleman.

Based on his time in Valencia its very marginal.

Di Marzio is very hit and miss.

Florenzi plays on the right – used to play in the middle a fair bit – either as a winger or a full-back, where he played for most of the last few years.

He was very consistent 2-3 years ago; Roma's captain. Believe he suffered an injury season before last, then went out to Valencia in January. Obviously covid hit and that wouldn't have helped, and Valencia are a mess, but he wasn't exactly great.

He's 29. Would be a weird one.

Well he scores more goals than any of our central midfielders combined which is a start, like.

He does put himself about and at his best is a real handful with driving runs forward and late ones into the box.

His best form last season came when Pearson played him off the striker, but he was also instructed to get back and help out defensively.

He'd add to our side but, like we both agree, that isn't hard to do at the moment.
