Astounded by the lack of fume over that Kirkbride article. It can't be helped now like but we spunk loads on dress when we have crap managers but now that we have a quality one we can only do loans and freebies.

Depends how you look at it, he mentions quality over quantity, so that in itself is misleading, when then saying don’t expect big deals.

When you listen to him on podcasts, he does so much fence sitting his arse must be full of splinters, hardly ever commits to a transfer, even if Joyce or King have reported, its in the bag.

So has the club told him to report this , to help us get prices down? Though I don’t imagine he’s inside the club, most likely 3rd party rumours.,

Well, the world hasn’t had to deal with transfers amid a pandemic so it’s fair to think clubs won’t be spending big

I don't think there is going to be a massive drop in prices like people are presuming but prices will become a bit more realistic ;-) Maybe 25 or 30% on the average thats now ie 25 million but the likes of the 80 million for grealish or 35 or 40 for Max Aarons should'nt occur ;-) Clubs that need revenue will have to sell but they ll sell for 25m rather than 35m before this ;-)
Football is within its own bubble so can't presume it"ll go back to reality over the Covid 19 :-(

Bringing in the following players would be priority. Anything else is bonus. I would move Richardson to right wing and bring in Kean if we are playing 4-4-2. Bernard and Iwobi can fight it out for the Left Wing. We don’t need big spending spree this summer. Just a few key pieces. We have solid platform to build

Right back if possible. (Coleman and Kenny we would be ok if don’t sign anyone)

Happy if we can offload Keane, Morgan, Sigurdsson. (the latter being difficult). Gbamin would be like a new signing.

Centre mid we would probably go with Gomes, Gbamin, Delph + 1.

Centre forward Richarlison, DCL, Kean

Defence probably keep Coleman and Baines a seaaon + Delph covering Baines.

Centre backs Gabriel, Holgate, Mina + perhaps Todibo.


Hardest part are the wide players...you also havent selected a right sided signing in midfield then on the left its Bernard/Iwobi.

The new right back and right mid need to be able to have a partnership so thats going to be interesting.
