This forum looks upon you much like the adults did look upon the youngsters in the 1950s, who looked upon themselves as rebels with no insight of the horrors their predecessors had witnessed.

You said big players and you pick them 3. Scrapping the barrel.

Eriksen was 21 coming from a weak Dutch league and only cost 10mil. Talented young player. But no different to us buying Richarlison. Moura started off and looked like a superstar, the fact PSG flogged him for 25mil to a wealthy British club at the age of 25 says it all. Yes he’s had some good games for spurs, but also had some poor ones. And doesn’t get in their best 11. And no longer gets in the Brazil squad.

Ndombelle does look a very good player, but he’s still young cost 60mil and has come from the weakest of the big 5 Leagues. Keita was last years expensive young midfield superstar and apart from a few games, he’s looked bang average. So let’s wait and see on Ndombelle

You quoted Barkley leaving, many would say he was deadwood for us, in fact he wasn't even guaranteed a place.
Kean was so much a deadwood that Juventus tried to extend his contract but he refused. Barcelona rated Mina so much they installed a 60 million buy back clause. Pep was glowing in his praise for Delph.
I could go on but I fear I'm wasting my time with you.
