feedback I got today is...

highly thought of...
good lad..
lots of ability...
but a "5" not a 9 nor a 10
not made any real headway in first team
easily expendable

offer very good
no one's head on block for selling him early
no cry out from fans

win - win this deal if it comes off

Palacios - season tickets holders know more than me, I just watch highlights
I will get the lowdown tomorrow and pass it on

I always thought a number 5 was a central defender.

A 5 as in a CB now or a 5 as in Zidane lol

Nice long range passer, busy player tracks back and can tackle, has the flair from what I've seen not sure sure what his eye for goal is like. 8 u20 caps so he'll pick up a few more in this competition, will that get him a permit?

Our bleak midfield will be bleak no longer.

Just from watching youtube + reading all the English pieces on him...

It seems like he's a Schneiderlin 'type' with a great passing range + bite in the tackle.
Sounds like a Schneiderlin type, possibly with a bit more mobility and technique.
Seems like a more skilful Gana to me from that link.

Sounds like a mirror image of Kieran Dowell with us. The big difference being Dowell is struggling to establish himself in a much higher quality league.

My personal view is, if he were good enough to come to the Premier, he would have established himself in the Argentinian league by now. No point bringing him to be part of the U23s, certainly at that price. So we would need to loan him out and yesterday I suggested PSV in the Dutch League. My preference would be to just do that with Dowell instead and save ourselves the outlay, unless we can sell Dowell to fund it of course.

I trust in Brands to make the right decision for Everton.

I always thought a number 5 was a central defender.

5 has always been a deep lying midfielder in argentina... historically numbers 2 and 3 were central defenders, 4,5,6 across the midfield then 7-11 forwards... full-backs didnt exist

I welcome these signings but 13m is a heavy fee for a "potential" or a "prospect" I'll believe in Brands but that's a decent amount of money for a player who'll be in the U23's or out on loan I'd assume.

Surely it's time for his own transfer thread?

Latest from Argentina is that his agent will fly over this week coming and it'll be announced after the U20 World Cup.

Brands must know something we don’t to want to pay £13m for a kid who has played 4 games. Does seem very odd though to be paying that much for a totally unproven 20 year old, you’d at least expect him to have 15+ starts.
