Secondary assist. In hockey, they record an assist for the player who passes to the player has the primary assist. It's to give credit to the player who may have set up the play. Can go both ways on its validity as a stat. But also something to consider when assessing a player.

Think of it as a 'Key Pass'. Pienaar was another player of that ilk.

It's a terrible shame that when players hit 30 they detonate. You'd think we'd have managed a workaround now but no: 30 years old, explode in a cloud of viscera. Terrible business but what can you do?
