Indeed it does. Could even end up finishing 10th yet after the last 2 games. Great to have the dark days of last season behind us though. We are playing nicer football and dont have Allardyce so everything is hunkydory. ;)

allardyce took over at the end of november when we were bottom half and had 15 points from 14 games and he finished the season in 8th, your actually praising allardyce for the job he did without realising it with those stats.

If silva cant get 7th it europe a much better team then allardcye had he needs to go, simple as that.

precisley, which is why I based it on the 26 games allardyce was here, compared to the first 26 games of silva for a fair comparsion, although it isnt really fair as silva had gomes, bernard, zouma, mina, richarlisonn, digne and lookman back from loan.
Not fair? Gomes, Bernard, and Mina did not even start the season properly over the first few months because of fitness issues and Lookman did not have to go on loan did he? only because BFS did not want to play him and you can hardly say that Silva has either apart from the odd moment. The difference has been the money spent last season has been spent well and the players who have come in have worked unlike Walcott and Tosun who other than a brief period have been poor signings.

Whether you like Silva or not he's been brought in as part of a long term project to transform the club prior to going into the new stadium.

He's improved the playing style by leaps and bounds on the pitch and he's much better thought of than Allardyce is by the majority of the supporters. Sorry.

and still cant get 7th.
europa league should of been achieved with ease.

if europe isnt acheived, it means players like gueye and richarlison will be getting interest from other clubs

We have no divine right to get anything with ease, it's our own fault for playing poor after the derby. Overall though, the team has improved, we work better as a unit, we create more chances, we press more, and we are better to watch. Im not that bothered about Europe tbh as this squad is nowhere near ready to cope with thurs/sun football, we don't even have a proper goalscorer yet.

were inconsistent, theres no point beating united chelsea arsenal but then losing to fulham and drawing to palace.
the striker situation is the clubs own fault, we have known ever since lukaku left someone was needed. If we spent 50m we could easily of had vardy and mitrovic playing upfront together if we wanted to

Not getting 7th might have something to do with the other teams looking to get 7th being a lot better this year than they were last year?

Wolves have spent a lot.
West Ham spent a lot.
Leicester are better.
Watford are better.

Last season Burnley finished 7th with a team of window cleaners and we finished 8th after being a mess all season. The league was weaker than it is now.

How do you reckon Allardyce would’ve got on during a full season and having to play against City away, Chelsea away, United away, Spurs at home and Arsenal at home?

Allardyce came in to get points no matter what way. It was mainly negative.
Silva is in to build and adopt a style and not to gain points any negative way.
Silva is here to play footy and win hopefully.
Allardyce could not and wouldn't be able to build and progress a team whereas Silva can and is doing.

Big difference in managers.

We're inconsistent, yes.

But we're in a better place to go on and build than we have been at any point in the last two seasons.

Last year, we were getting hammered by the big teams and drawing away at the crap sides, who we managed to beat at home.

And you'd happily have seen us spend £50m on a 32-year-old and a striker who has got relegated? Sound.
