New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Looks like they got a load of uncommitted assurances on stuff and told that all was well. Why was there no attempt by FAB to do their own research with other PL clubs on pricing of food rather than accept Aramark's answer on the Everton stadium's pricing structure being 'mid-level'?

They also encouraged Aramark to charge more money for some foods to make other foods more affordable...are they mad?! Stop encouraging them. Lol.

Aramark's answer to questions on queuing rails, lack of tills and hardly any food ledges are completely unacceptable. They no doubt dont want the cost to them as they'd likely have to supply the materials and labour for it.

FAB handed a wedgie there I think.
You know the FAB are unpaid? They're already giving up their time for this and you're now expecting them to commission reports into pricing at other football grounds?

Put yourself forward next time Dave

That's not the point.

They placed themselves up for those positions to be voted in to in in order to (presumably) be an effective champion of fans facing exploitation, inconveniences and other issues. But all they're doing there is passing on criticism and passively receiving the bluff corporate answers without question.

It's a paper tiger. I think most people know that.

Whats more, I dont think they should be accepting any free tasters of 'quality' food from them as it could be said to compromise them.

So, just to be clear, they should be using their own time and money to commission reports into catering prices at other clubs?

How much effort would it take to get in touch with other FABs in the network to compile a comparative study of how Aramark is really performing regarding food and beverages?

Sandhills has been fine (at least for south enders like me). I expected absolute chaos, but it's been really good apart from Saturday where it seems Merseyrail haven't planned properly
It was dreadful on Saturday. I go south via Sandhills. I have the choice of staying to clap the players off and I then get home approximately 45 minutes later or leaving my seat watching the last couple of minutes on a TV by the exit and getting sharpish to the station, and almost straight onto the platform. This has been decided by how the match is going and no doubt in the future by the weather

The club will just use the fan advisory board as a tick box for any public consultations and continue with whatever they have in mind to begin with, whether the fans suggest otherwise or not.

Look at Liverpool city council, still going ahead with the scrapping of free late-night parking following 95% of the public being opposed to the introduction.

Consultations are just a legal tick-box exercise.

Money talks and the only way you are going to see changes to the prices at the club is to vote with your feet.

That's what the FABs were set up for.

I'm sure the people who are involved are well meaning, but nothing as inorganic as an industry created fan group can ever be counted on to speak truth to power.

We're a fanbase that has produced fan groups like the Blue Union, KEIOC and the All Together Now alliance that saw off powerful and rich con-men and their handmaidens in the local state and media looking to shoehorn the club into dodgy stadiums and/or continue their corrupt control over the ownership of the club.

Can you imagine the Everton FAB throwing their hand in with those sort of fights...no, I cant either.

It might get called Liverpool Stadium. They are usually named after the city not the club that plays there. For instance, in Germany 2006 Schalke's ground was called Gelsenkirchan Stadium because that's the city it is in.
It won't. From the UEFA Web site:

It'll be called Everton Stadium. There's also Dublin Arena, Manchester City Stadium, and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The name of the city will be on the half-way line ad boards, mind. But it IS our city.

I get that but with the club knowing when the stadium would be ready surely they made a pitch to the artists

It's a shame im a massive Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl fan so would of loved them to have been one of the first to perform at Hill Dickinson.

Same here, was gutted when I heard that. Saw they were playing 2 dates. The first is the same as Metallica at Hampden so was a no go for me anyway, but I would have sat down with the calculator to work out going to the 2nd if at our place. Prob won't bother now, not out of bitterness but the lure of our stadium would have properly pushed the desire to go over the edge of rational thought  . Seen them 6/7 times so no bother, for me, missing this one.

I assume it was a licensing timing issue, they couldn't advertise or promise anything until that was certain. Was thinking the other day, we may not see really big acts until 2027, or maybe an artist will do an impromptu mini tour or a one off gig.
