Deserves the season to show a full body of work. Not a fan of mid season managerial changes unless forced by the prospect of likely relegation.

The new footballing structure will presumably be starting succession planning and if they have a long term manager in mind then I’d rather wait for their preferred candidate than see who is available mid season.

He's not the long-term future of Everton and both results and performances have dramatically worsened. If the owners want to see us challenging for Europe, they need to change course asap, find the right manager that is a good 20 years younger than Moyes, provide money for a striker and set of full backs, and give it a proper go, not the half-hearted effort that was made in the summer.
That's not very fair. Why doesn't Moyes get a chance with these additions? The squad obviously isn't good enough.

I think he is infuriating in his stubbornness which seems to be a common trait almost football managers. Not holding your hands up when you make poor tactical choices and throwing young players under the bus over poor results is just a couple more of his failings, and they are big ones. I wouldn't get rid now though, I would just make sure that we have the right manager lined up when his contact ends.
Personally I think he will turn the ship and the likes of Charly, Rohle & Dibling will start to be more involved. The sooner the better though.

You can't sit about waiting for the World Cup to finish though, we need to have a link established with someone before then so when it finishes they can walk in and just start (that is if we are targeting a tournament manager)
Of course. Many managers will know the World Cup is the end of their road. So, they will already be on the market.

If people thought he was the right man for the job in the second half of last year and now think he's not, should we really trust your judgement.

Curious one.
I thought he was the wrong man the day we rehired him. I have seen nothing to change that point of view. He did well last season - and I have always been happy to celebrate him for that - but I have no doubt others would have kept us up, too. Perhaps even his predecessor had he not burned himself out.

I hope he survives until May. Then let's finally wave Son of Bill farewell.

No.

Why would you do that. A mixture of carp squad, overhauled in the summer, to a point. Carp strikers, carp fullbacks.

Rome wasn’t built in a day friends.

I don’t think he will relegate us, he’s way better than the hoarse jockey we had previously, now at forest.

Not long term, sure, but to sack now?? Why??

And who would you have!?

A daft question at this point

As someone who would probably give him the rest of the season unless a proper replacement became available, sacking him really isn’t as daft as it seems. Other than his new manager bounce he hasn’t really done anything to suggest he should be carrying on really.

I’d like some proper planning from the club in regards to the change in manager in the summer. But if someone was available tomorrow and would come I’d bin Moyes in a heartbeat.

There's a school of thought...iirc, that both Royle and Kendall subscribed to...that if the manager has to go - and it's by no means a forgone conclusion, then mid December is your cut off date.
This;
A) gives the new guy time to weigh up the squad prior to the window.
B) thus any new manager tweaks, can give everybody a boost with the league pressure off in the FA Cup.

But in reality Moyes will keep scraping the odd win here, a draw there and stagger on to the end of the season

We had a relatively poor transfer window, in a highly competitive league. A manager change won’t transform anything right now.
