By the way, they are very rarely called Nordic Axe, and mostly go by the term Norse Axe. Vikings would wear a Norse Hammer in honour of the god Thor. They believed the hammer symbol would give them protection against chaos and evil. I think they used the axe to chop wood, or for invading Dycheland?
