Because of Brexit we no longer had the Dublin agreement therefore creating the “small boats issue”

Economically we took a hit and therefore the conservatives massively increased legal migration to mitigate.

Because of the conservatives the immigration system has practically ground to a stand still. Claimants spend more time either waiting deportation or permission to work.

Reform stand aside in the Boris election during which time immigration jumps massively.

Within 12 months of a labour government that didn’t given them the brexit vote or responsible for the decade when immigration numbers jumped hugely a bunch of people decide:

a) to protest about issues they directly voted for.
b) criticise a government that were not in power when all this started.
c) probably voted for the party that caused it all
d) will probably vote for a party whose main aim was Brexit and who supported the cons until recently.

And then they protest againt …….themselves

By the way what makes it even stranger is there are no “hostels” anywhere near us and there are less than 1% of non white people in the entire county.

This is exactly it.

Nothing to do with nationalism or even immigrants per se, it's a colour thing. It always is.

I agree with this but calling them racists or far right doesn’t bother them. The americanisation of our discourse means they can ignore facts as fake news. They rely wholly on the views of those they want to hear.

it’s about time that those in the centre be it right or left set out the facts. And that includes swtting out in detail the current impact of Brexit.

Then how else should we refer to them without normalising their racist and far right behaviour? Because normalisation of their extreme views is EXACTLY what the far right want.

This is on the money and that normalisation is what leads to normal people shifting their views to support the extreme right. Take for example the following questions:

Do you believe that the characteristics of people in adverts and TV programmes reflects your lived experience?

Do you believe that the characteristics of people in adverts and TV programmes reflects modern Britain?

Do you believe that the UK should be primarily a Christian country?

Do you believe that minority religions in the UK have a disproportionate number of rights compared to Christians?

Do you believe that British people should have priority over non-British people to services provided by the state (for e.g healthcare, housing, education etc.)?

Do you believe the cost to the state of immigration is too great?

Do you believe that employment rights are unfairly skewed towards minority interests to the detriment of the majority of workers and their employers?

Do you believe that minority cultures are compatible with British values?

Do you believe that minority cultures receive a disproportionate amount of protection compared to the protection given to British values?

Would you say you feel more or less safe from crime (for yourself and your family) following high levels of immigration and the change in British culture over the last 25 years?

Do you believe that petty criminals are treated too lightly by the criminal justice system?

Would you vote for a political party that prioritised and protected British values, majority interests and British people in all areas of public life?

This is how racism is stoked by legitimising it as the reasonable concerns of the average (white, English) voter even though for 98% of people who have these 'concerns' the things they're concerned about will have zero impact on them at any point in their life.

Farage said it many times on the stump during that last election campaign: "we *know* what the problem is, but nobody wants to do anything about it".

What about the TV averts though🤣🤣

These are not legitimate or even serious concerns and invoking a imbecile like farage who caused more small boat crossings than anyone else in the UK is why they aren't taken seriously.
