The referee and VAR both need to be demoted to the championship for the rest of the season. No excuse with video replay to get that so wrong.

Come on mate - that gun is blatantly a toy it’s got a tiny orange barrel and assumably was just walking round

They are not allowed to assume.

Ask around, even this week, my view of the authorities and who they hire and empower has come to the fore.

They've no idea who's under the mask, it could have been hitler himself.

Sadly, the world as it is, such staunch reactions to possible deadly threats will be met with incredibly heavy handed force.

Wrong costume, wrong prop for the street, it was the wrong call. They had to confront in the name of perceived threat.

I don't like em, I never will, but, to call em wrong where I do - I have to call em right where they are.

No of course not, but, there is a line, and if freddy the nazi turns up and sprays a load of bullets around the convention then they get hammered for not stopping it.

Fire arms laws are there and established to cover this exactly. The problem is ignorance. On the kid and his carers/parents part.

The public good over rules the rights of the individual. They have to respond as to a genuine threat until proven otherwise.

And I have no idea how young the youngest school killers have been in the u.s.

Ignorance is no excuse, I dislike that platitude, but the line has to fall somewhere. Anyway, it'll come out in the wash, they haven't killed him (I hope!) and it serves as an example for the future.

I'm more pished off that a couple of blind people have been tasered for carrying samurai swords when they were in fact using their walking sticks.

The scum got off both times I know of.
