Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It's a shame Doucoure and DCL have been snapped up because they would both be absolutely fantastic squad options for us in our current state.

Obviously the idea behind releasing them / not giving in to their demands would have been to bring in superior players, but given that 1-2 injuries completely destroys us having a functional starting XI, they'd really be assets to us right about now.

Shame how it's all turning out.

Have they though? Maybe we have hit a wall and nothing is happening.

Forest are pissing me right off. At least they are showing ambition. Clarly there owner doesnt give a stuff about PSR.
If Forest have a bad season they'll be bang in trouble. I've seen it before where clubs buy seemingly good players in abundance whilst spending big but if they don't gel or if the manager fails to get a tune out of them then it's like a falling stack of cards. Look at us with Moshiri for evidence

Marinakis to me clearly has a grudge over their previous points deduction and wants to take a sledgehammer to all PL regulations. There's no way they will be compliant after all these purchases while only selling Elanga.

Obviously my goblin brain wants us to do the same thing but tbh probably better to see how it works out for them, if we deliberately breached PL would find a way to relegate us surely.
If he makes CL qualification it will go down as one of the most remarkable football business gambles ever... you know what he might have a chance of doing it

this ^^
Forest are rolling the dice for Champions league or bust....if they dont make it they sell players before June next year.

At least they have the balls to go for it.

and end up fd

He never said that, he said Everton asked the question and brownhill wants 85k a week and Everton as of now have walked away.
And they asked Villa about matty cash and Villa want 20mil and Everton said no thanks

Reeks of Moyes.

Again I’m not sure that’s true, yes ww ain’t spending 100mil in the next week, but Dibling on a 5yr deal is 9mil pound next year and on a small wage. The issue is Moyes for me and this obsession with prem experience. You’re basically fishing in a small pool, price and loan fees will be high as will the wages.
We also have till June 30th next summer to balance the accounts

The bobble also said don’t be surprised to see McNeil linked with clubs. 15mil for him would probably give 10mil profit,
That could get us a 25mil player and a 5mil loan deal

If there was £10mil PSR profit and McNeil was off the books, then that may mean we could have room for 2 top signings.

The cash for Dibling and one of Fofana or Fatuwu depending on whether Hammond and Moyes are willing to act quickly.

So we asked for Matty Cash and Villa quoted us £20m and we said no thanks.

What did they expect Villa to quote them? £5??

Even if they qualify for CL though whats to stop the PL from hitting them with a gargantuan points deduction? Would CL money be enough to stop them breaching? I'm not sure.

It would be their second breach in a few years and would clearly be done deliberately, surely Masters would go out his way to make an example of them
