I want aznou to be legitimately good for the fee we paid, same for Barry for his fee. Same as travers. Same for KDH.

Simple question - Is KDH better than what we have currently in your opinion?

I know my answer - the fee isn’t exorbitant for what we are getting imo.

Not overly arsed about value and future sales - we need decent players now.

Some people were moaning about buying to many “future potential” players the other day and not enough ready to go players - this fella walks into the side now.

Like I said earlier, some cryarses will never be happy.

Signing a team of 21 year olds when you're trying to move from finishing 17th to mid table doesn't work

Absolutely crucial that we sign players who are in their prime as well as players with room to grow

He's nowhere near the quality and consistency of Gueye. Garner is better in the sense that he's got a work ethic that saves him from criticism when he's not shining in most games. That puts him ahead of KDH.

We should be after better than what we have, not him. There's no point in trying to polish this turd, most people on here know his limitations. Not getting Luiz means that you get a player like him instead.

I'm also convinced you haven't watched any of KDH, got a great work ethic and does a lot of pressing in the final third

Yes.

I mean I do criticise him because I dont think he's reached potential here...though that could be he's been managed by hoof merchants here and they curtail his game.

I dont think KDH is terrible - I quite like the skills he can show and we need more of that. But he's horrendously inconsistent. We can do better with £30M.

Moyes said last summer we need to "spend smart". Well I cant make a case for spending £30M on this feller, and I doubt he can too. It's just desperation kicking in.

We have got a very depleted squad and need competent bodies to be able to progress forward. It would be impossible to get a full team for the future in one window so we have to balance it and do some of both. We are clearly targetting younger players with potential such as Dibling but there is going to have to be some compromise on the way don't you think. We are so depleted at the moment.

They’re paying too much money for him to not play. Is he definitely better than Gana or Garner in midfield or Ndiaye or Alcaraz in attacking areas? I’m really not sure he is. So I can’t sit here and say he won’t be in the team because at this price he’s going to be in the team. But I’ll be interested to see just how much better we look with him versus without him.

Every time Everton stop looking for value they make horrendous signings so you’d think we would learn.

And again I’m not crying about every deal. We made some very good ones this summer. This one…. It’s just not for me I guess.

This isn’t a compromise. Gana coming back was a compromise. Tarkowski was a compromise.
