Welcome to Everton, Dougie!

Someone chime in and correct me, but based on this and the previous video, it sounds like Balzarini is saying that there would be a 10 million Euro loan fee with either a 30 million option (Everton's preference) or a 30 million Euro obligation (Juventus's preference).

The 10M loan fee is pretty close to his estimated annual salary, so maybe that's a clue as to Juve's thinking.- have hos wages covered for the season and then get a good amount of the original fee back nrxt year when there's another few mil off their amortisation bill.

The issue is, that if we demand we only want 'option' to buy, then that likely puts us in line with various other clubs that are willing to match that scenario.
Personally, if we seem willing to pay 10 million euros for a 12 month loan, then that seems very very steep if we decide not to buy him.

if we only want a loan and juventus
want a sale they will just sell?

Depends whether that 10 million includes his salary?

It would seem pricey if it didnt include it,l to me, 10m euro loan fee plus his wage of around 8m euro per annum is about 18M total for the season. .

Was more thinking juve get a.10M euro wage of their book for a year to get him into a new club. It's a tougher sell for the loan fee and wages combined route, unless there are clubs that go for the buy now option without a loan with obligation

Suppose either way with a loan offer it's 10M in their coffers initially to cancel out a years costs.

I can't really understand the recent deals...alcaraz, only 2 years, not great for psr...Barry, 4 years, would have been better 5 years for the same psr reasons. So wouldn't surprise me if we end up paying 10 millions loan feen for a player that we might no end up signing on a permanent. Perhaps it is the player that is not keen on an obligation to buy...very odd financial decisions to date.

Suppose though if we've just paid 9m over 2 seasons for JH, whilst expensive on its own the 10M for Luiz would likeky return better economies of scale in just 1 season..

Agree though it does not seem plausible we do this deal at all.
