Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Don’t worry lads and lasses, we’ll get some panic buys in on 31st August. They’ll be bedded in and ready to make an impact during the second half of the season.

This is BAU for Everton no matter who owns or manages the club.

Does Alcaraz not count as our starting AM !!???

Too many seem to be ignoring his signing.

I feel we need 4 :

1 LB for Miko competition
1 Starting RW / RM
1 Back up RW / RM - Feeling it will be Harrison
1 Centre mid
Honestly if we manage to get through a 158th consecutive window without addressing the right back situation I will start to think i'm part of some sort of Truman Show style experiment to see how far I can be pushed before I spontaneously combust.

While we have Tarky, Branthwait & Obrien.....Obrien will be our starting right back.

We also have 2 others for back up, so I don't see us buying a first choice RB any time very soon.

What you on about mate, Baz from TTV reckons we don't need one.....

I think it's an area we need to strengthen and have done basically since Coleman broke his leg about 8 years ago. O'Brien is a centre half, he did quite well at right back (I think people went slightly over the top about how well personally, but he was OK) but I've had enough of these make do and mend approaches to key positions. Godfrey was fine at full back until he wasn't, there's a good chance the same will happen with O'Brien. Coleman is a glorified cheerleader these days and Patterson is Patterson, I'd really quite like us to sign somebody who is actually good.

And only one of them is any good (but not even a right-back).

Thats true, but I dont see us getting a 4th, while other areas are more pressing.

Obrien was really really good at RB, he really have solved a problem for now, Coelman and Patto decent enough cover for him, for now.

We litterally have 1 left back at the club, thats much more of a priority, imo though.
