He wasn't on any of the retained/released lists which does indicate he is in contract

Tonight was a bit refreshing seeing a bit of the youth movement. We need a better balance. Lately we’ve been top heavy with the older players. Time to start feathering in some younger players.

…as per the youth team thread, I’m very much in the Tamen camp. I know lots of posters really like Thomas but I think Tamen could be a big improver this season after moving to the club and struggling with a bad injury last term. I liked what I saw of him. Terrific physicality, my one to watch this season.

Heath & Clark looked alright there didn't they? think Metcalfe has promise as well.

Curious to hear what Moyes thought. I think they looked great, especially given the weather conditions. Showed confidence, fearlessness. Hopefully they’re rewarded with more pitch time.

Yeh he's a big boy, and he looks pretty fast, but just don't think that's enough in the modern game. But we'll get to see him and Thomas together all season for the U21's - hopefully.

Yes nice to see them but they played because they were making the numbers up last night—not having a go at them in any shape or form just stating the obvious.
