Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Mark is a great example mate, we could have went with someone random at low cost, but we've made a significant investment in Mark not just the fee but the whole package, we made it very attractive for him to sign.

A bit of thought and investment went into it and when you look at resale value he will be 31 when his contract ends - realistically you are making a decision at 29/30, so there is resale there to, 30 is 25 for a keeper.

Point being, there was no lack of investment or thought that didn't go into the detail for a decision that is essentially a back up - which shows the thoroughness and foresight going into quality control.

This is beyond - lets throw another year at Begoivc stuff.

Can this be pinned st the top of the thread? Fab post.

It won’t be popular as he’s not ‘new’ but I’m really looking forward to seeing what Armstrong can add to the team. In his few cameos with us last time he looked a cut above the rest so a season in the championship and some Moyes coaching, I think he will surprise an awful lot of people. I’m also looking forward to seeing Tim’s progress. He has all of the attributes to be a quality player, he may benefit more from a loan out to find rhythm and consistency though.
And everyone worrying about getting players before America.. Moyes doesn’t sign the players and I’m pretty sure there are regular flights to the US of A.. though I must admit, a right winger would be bloody lovely for people’s wellbeing!

This has to be a joke?! It would be just about the most popular thing imaginable.
