No idea mate, was consistently told up to today he wanted to be a no 1 and was actively seeking a move for this, then got the heads up this morning that he's decided to come and that his medical tomorrow - dont know anything else at this point.

In theory we could be agreeing to loan him out this season and sign another free back up keeper.

Really ?? I have liked what Ive seen of Jimmy, you can't put the last 12 months or so on him, He's been playing in a side that didn't attack for large parts. Was literally told to not be expansive but to keep it tight at the back, the whole team played like that. Give him a preseason with Moyes and let's see what we bought, with the leash off.

I'd be very happy with this. Travers is really competent, and would easily be our best backup goalie since the early 2000s. It will be good for Pickford too, to have somebody to compete with who realistically could start premier league games. If the quoted price is correct (£5m ish) then it seems like a very smart signing.
