One region we never shop at which we should is Scandinavia for sure. Got loads of belting, affordable players to develop.

Yeah he came back from his Leipzig loan spell with a cob on despite having a fresh slate to impress Silva who’d only just joined. Thought it was funny the way he basically sulked his way into a permanent move there and then was absolutely gash and binned off by them within a year.

Aye he’s a talented boy, clearly was with us, but he was never settled and didn’t produce in an Everton shirt which is all that should matter to Everton fans. Good luck to him in Barcelona if he goes.

Pretty extraordinary the second act he’s made for himself, though.

You mean the same Lookman that was sold to Red Bull Leipzig, didn`t cut it there, went on loan to Fulham, didn`t cut it there, then went on loan to Leicester, didn`t cut it there and was finally sold to Atlanta, where about five years later, he became the player he is today, that Lookman ?

We can blame the club for lots of things, but Lookman isn`t one of them.

Can only assume he’s fixed his attitude problems or found a club that will cater to and indulge him. Be interesting to see how it goes at Barca where he’ll very much be a smaller fish again.

Just been watching Tom Fellows on YouTube. Yes I know it doesn't say much but for a decent price we should be going for him. Also he is 21 / English so good profile for the future

What decent full-back for £15m?

The lad from Coventry - van Ewijk is very good and probably wouldn’t cost much. I’d actually rather have him than gambling more money on the young Brazilian lad

From how it sounds, we had that lined up, but then won a few games and Moyes was like okay think we’re alright without a signing let’s save the money for the Summer. So depends if he really wanted him, or if he was just an option available at the time that might have improved on Harrison/Lindstrom.

We are not sure of course that was the price and West Brom were happy to sell. Besides we had Lindstrom and Harrison under contract

At £8m just take the punt. If he’s crap you’ll probably get your money back

1. Clubs sell when they want for the highest price possible. We can’t force them to sell.
2. You have no idea who are targets are or at what point in the window they are likely to become available.
3. The point is not just to sign players. It’s to sign the best combination of players given our budget, player availability and squad need. It’s a complex moving target. You continually make massive lists of players that we could sign but there is no jeopardy for you. 99% of those players probably flop. If the club get it wrong that player is on our books for 4/5 years.

This is one of the best posts I’ve read in any transfer thread. It’s a shame people won’t take much note
