Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

With Nottingham Forrest selling Elanga and Gibbs-White, they are being linked with all the same players in the RW and AM area that we are being linked with. I just hope what ever happens, happens quickly and we don’t end up drawn out transfer sagas and us paying over the odds for players.
Yes we may be after the same players but offer is

Forest, have Europe. Yet selling best players. Was last season a fluke!

Or

Everton, no Europe. Keeping best players, showed progress under new manager. New owners who are ambitious, fancy new ground.

Were not the ugly sister in the corner some people are suggesting we are

Do we? Explain?

So far...

Barry, Alcaraz in.
Gueye, Keane, Coleman & Branthwaite renewed.

Its 11th July, we haven't played our first Pre-Season game, yet.
To be fair I expect us to be bringing people in right to the end of the window if (and unfortunatelyvery likely) we still need players. I hope that we are bringing in our priority targets much sooner though.

That’s standing still though.

Only one of those players were not here last season and we will have to wait and see if he’s better than the fella that just left.

We have about 6 more replacements to make to bring the squad back up to last seasons numbers.

All this talk/ moaning about taking too much time to sign players is bonkers. Didn’t you all learn as a child that when you got your pocket money not to run straight to the sweet shop and spend it on the first thing you saw?!!
I’d normally hold 5 pence pence so I could get a quarter of apple tarts for for Sunday matinee ( with the Lone Ranger as the first film )

Millennials all going WTF 😂😂😂😂

Given our disastrous record in signing poor vfm overpaid residents of the treatment room, I welcome an approach of festina lente.

The window is open until 1 September, but I do want our 25/26 squad to be essentially signed and settled in place before 18 August.

The next two weeks should see real progress or I will be concerned.
If we have signed a RB
RW CM who are all starters before the first PL game I’ll be happy
That’s the first 11 sorted and squad fillers can come afterwards
So 3 players in a month or so is doable

I hope so . I know I’m in the minority but I would love him back . I understand he has some fitness issues but I don’t think he will cost a lot and I think they will actively look to get shot of him . A cheeky loan maybe .
I loved Richy but why as a club ( no criticism of you mate ) do we always look backwards?

Time to find the new , fitter Richy at a fraction of the price!

Might be my blue tinted glasses but I think we're way more attractive than them now. If they'd got CL or even Europa we wouldn't be but no player wants to go to Estonia or Latvia on a Thursday. Plus they've just sold their 2 best players and their owners a basket case

Regarding richarlison the ideal scenario is we get pretty much all our business done and Richy comes in on deadline day on loan to much fanfare.

Not that I'm saying we're interested or it'll happen.

It wouldn't surprise me either if Grealish falls under a similar scenario based on his wages/age and doesn't move till deadline day (not saying here particularly).

Maybe you’re right but he done alright at Spurs and I thought he was too good for us back then . This was before his injuries it has to be said .
You don’t have to worry about criticising my post mate . We all want the same thing . Appreciate the thought nevertheless.

We may well do.

But I dont think we'll be panic buying towards the end. Feels we've actually got a structure and a plan dor a change.

May be 1-2 bodies, thats about it, I reckon, to bolster the depth.
