Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

…if reports on Keane, Gueye and Barry are accurate, I can see us acquiring a RB, Winger and CM.
Exactly.... if we can get in those 3 additional during July... Back up GK also.

Taking into account Alcaraz and JB already done deals, then I would argue (depending on the standard of the new arrivals ie not jack harrison) that this is one of our best windows in a long time.

His ability as a player would be the problem for me.
This, we have seen him play under two different managers with the same end product, none. No pace and doesn’t contribute. Need to do better or take a punt on a younger player who can make the same mistakes as Harrison for less money in weekly wages.

….i’ll prefer to compare it to last seasons squad, the loss of Doucoure is the difficult one to guage (I know posters generally thought he was poor, but he was an important member of the team). I’d be sure Barry will immediately improve our attacking threat.

Im made up to be honest mate - think of it this way - that's an extra 5 or 6 million gone in to the right wing or no 10 spot.
And likely only at the expense of 5 or 6 goals gone into the net for the opposition next season. Still think a young CB for a few million to develop as 4th choice was the better play but no hum. Keane is probable better in the immediate.
