We have Garner and Iroegbunam with Gana imminent. We have Harrison Armstrong apparently in the senior squad and money to spend. I don’t see us being so desperate for depth in midfield that we’d take someone who’s spent the last few years coasting in the Turkish SuperLig, which is sub League One football.

Imagine spending all day whinging about 4th choice centre back Michael Keane signing a one year extension when the most promising left-footed English centre back in about the last 20 years has just signed a 5 year deal.

Now this is the kind of young CB I can get behind. Develop him for a couple of years until hes ready to claim a starting spot. Started almost the entirety of the last half of their season.

Was really good for Lille and was part of their side that won Ligue 1 under Galtier. I wanted us to sign him when we were first linked about 4 years ago. He was solid defensively and capable of putting in some decent crosses on occasion. Haven’t seen any of him at Roma though.
