Still didn't bid on them.

One has made a choice to go to a Champions lge team playing in the Club World Cup under the manager that schooled him at City.

The other is a lad with roots and family in London that still hasn't agreed anything.

You know what I meant. We tried to sign players and it hasn’t happened, was just expressing the hope that things start happening for us in the market.

Stand down soldier.

What's the going rate for a 40k premier league stadium again?

We'll be interested in many players this & any other window .
There'll be plenty of clubs after the same targets , so unless we "bid" silly money with huge wages ( haven't we been there before ? ) be prepared for some refusals.

There's a long way to go in this window and we just may end up with better signings than Delap & Tete.

Nothing to be worried about at all atm.

what worries me is players like Delap & Tete will have been given the new club spin from moyes on where TFG are taking us New owners New stadium and beginnings etc and still chose not to come, I get Delap with Chelsea (Champions league) but Tete and Fulham???

Have we dropped that low

Young child at school - settled, friends etc. Wife with friendship groups living in the capital city. Tete - knows the manager and team mates. Can you really blame him for not wanting to move?

Jokingly said he bottled it the other day, but I wouldn’t be at all suprised if that actually played a part in it, he plays with Iwobi who knows first hand how the crowd can be if you fall foul of it.
Same or marginally less money, stay in west London, no need to uproot kids (if he has any) and 100% less grief at work on the weekend - let’s face it he’s not exactly world class, so it’s inevitable he will drop the odd clanger and get the rough end of the stadium. It’s not for the faint hearted.

I think some people really do fail to appreciate how far we’d fallen. It’s not just a case of new owners, new stadium, and then players flock to us. The name ‘Everton’ has for ages now been synonymous with terrible football, bad administration, short-term thinking, relegation battles, etc… in short, not attractive.

We can’t expect our name to carry weight just… ‘because’. So low have we sunk that we must earn reputation again.

Agree with this totally. We need to stabilize a few years of finishing higher up the league and getting stronger etc. Slowly slowly catch the monkey!

On the PSR thingy, was thinking would it be better for now to sell Goodison to the new company and in a few years the women's team will then help with PSR for more that the next 3 years?

Catch 22 though isn't it, you only really improve with better players, Moyes has improved us as he's a better coach than Dyche, but there is only so much you can do with the tools provided.

Yes totally agree. What I was agreeing with is that to some players at present we may not have the pull that we as fans think we should
