Love watching the UK declare a literal state of emergency the moment the sun pops its head through the smog for a weekend.
Dear UK,
28C is not called a "heat wave" it's actually called "summer."
Sincerely,
the USA

Have a wet squeezed out flannel next to your bed & use it on both wrists when you feeling overwhelmed with the heat.last nights "sleep" was rather patch work, up every two hours for a pish, soaked in sweat to rehydrate. simply no good at all.
expecting the same again tonight. 'kin knackered. who's got the big paddling pool to save them pictured on here? reckon if you put arm bands on you could sleep in it?
Humidity and lack of air movement. I'm used to heat after decades in Southern Spain but this feels different. Saw the UK news describe it as a dome effect and that's what it feels like. Normally by 9-10 in the evening there's a breeze off the sea, this year, nothing.TBF humidity is a thing.
Lots of love,
a small part of the UK
21 degrees, feels like 21 degrees. thanks mr robot.
Too hot full stop. We are not from such climates and neither us or our work patterns have adapted. Love Autumn and Winter myself. Misty days with a crisp chill are the best. Particularly fishing on a river like the Nidd, Vyrnwy or Severn.Love the sun, don't get me wrong, but 28+ celsius is just too hot for a country that will likely never adopt widespread air conditioning solutions..
It may cause some of your elderly presidents, sorry population to expire. We might get lucky.Dear UK,
