Just feel that he has a year left on his deal, if they get an offer got a feeling he might go.Why would we try and move Garner on? Perfect midfield depth player. He’s not spectacular but he’s solid and we’ll need players like him.
Stood on a plug. What happened him mate .
Did he stand on some lego?
Of the 16 players left, only about 10 of them are players we'd absolutely want to keep. Garner, Patterson, Chermiti, Mykolenko, Tim all either have 1 year left or massive question marks around them - sometimes both.I actually think more could leave.
I think Patterson's goose is cooked
It burned down pretty quickly, though, if I recall correctly.Roma wasn’t built in a day.
Not sure Champions League or Europa League is much of a pull these days. You'll get more big matches against top opposition in Premier League than Champions League these days.
What does matter is style of play. McAtee is a good fit for Bundesliga that is end to end and every team wants to press high. That's the football he grew up with. That's the football he know.
He has tried to play for a lesser English team that is defensive minded, and it was a poor fit. He knows how his mate Tommy Doyle got his career ruined by signing for a team such as Wolves.
If he goes to Germany and does well, many of the top English teams will look at him in a year or two. None of them will look at him after playing a year or two for a team managed by Moyes. That's the unfortunate truth.
If Everton were managed by a Carsley or another manager that plays the football McAtee grew up with, knows and loves, he'd be interested. For him to even consider a club such as Everton now he'll need to be poorly advised.
Garner is to important at this moment in time to move on,Whether people rate him or not.I think Patterson def moves. Wouldn’t be surprised if we tried to move garner on either.
That's like booking tickets for the Hindenburg 2 airship and being excited instead of experiencing overwhelming panic and trepidationThere were always going to have to be compromises mate.
Keane staying is great news.
It probably has more pull now that it’s ever hadNot sure Champions League or Europa League is much of a pull these days.
To add to your point , delap's reasoning for signing with Chelsea was to play champions League footballIt probably has more pull now that it’s ever had
Christ. Bit of sweeping statement. I'd suggest Brits are way worse, more ignorant (see above), less refined and bigger helmets by far.
More Helmuts in Germany though![]()
I agree with all of that. He's also not a bad option to send on as an additional target man if we're chasing the game. I sometimes think he's scored more goals than DCLNo issue with keeping Keane for another year.... He would be 4th CB anyway and expect anyone who comes in would be. Easier to have someone around the club who would accept this.
As long as we are not selling Branthwaite then CB is the least of our priorities this summer!
Typically we missed the boat on signing him for about £15m. Without being overall spectacular for West Ham, they'll manage to tell him for 4x what they bought him for. He's far out of our price range now.
