Lee Carsley

You may be right wouldn’t be surprised if he’s offered a mid- level national team job off the back of his success at U 21s over the last few yrs.
He could have had the Ireland job last year.

I like Lee - seems to know his level - but I'm not at all convinced he's cut out for the club game, at least not at a high level.

I just don’t see a former England manager , even short term , taking a u21’s job .

I can see him here in the future but after Moyes not in a no4/5 position in his backroom.
I meant more assistant manager type thing really with a view to stepping up like Keith Andrews at Brentford

It would be a no from me for Carsley. I don’t know who should replace Moyes. But I want us to be playing in Europe consistently. If we keep recycling managers we’ll stay where we are. We need ambition, creativity, and stability. We need managers who meet that criteria and stay for years.

The 1st half as I said is the best I’ve seen an England side play in a long time, the 2nd half was to shabby either just Germany came back into it which you would expect from a side unbeaten in 2 years. Plus they won and deserved it, I’ll take that all day long.
Fair enough but you might agree in the end either team could have won it.

He strikes me as a humble fella who feels like he needs to earn his stripes judging by an old interview i listened to. Was very clear he didnt think he could just walk into a big club j9b without earning it. Will be very curious to see his next move after the u21s

To us hopefully only past players as Managers have won us trophies since 1963 ....
