Take a look at this, I'd say it's full of 'character ' :
Is it my eyes or are the two towers that flank 'EVERTON' different sizes/shape?

Just trick of the camera. Watch them change as it pans across around the 2 minute mark. I think it's because of the angled base of the tower. Is it my eyes or are the two towers that flank 'EVERTON' different sizes/shape?
I really don't think there is an answer to that question, moving 50K people anywhere is a huge task, it's never easy, given time will get easier but it won't ever be simple to get in and out. You'll find that plenty of people will hang around after the game for a few drinks at the ground, others will go to nearby pubs others to that marquee across the road, others walking back into town others on busses you're never going to get 53K people stampeding towards sandhills. In your opinion which stadium out of the 60/70 you have been to(all watching Everton?) had attendances above 53k people and was easiest to get away from due to a brilliant transport infrastructure and which was the worst.
Our recent record at Goodison is rubbish. Safety blanket...okReally strange reaction to my comments, almost as if some have taken it personally.
I understand Everton needed a new ground. Commercially, the long term benefits should be good. It’s a beautiful ground in a great “location” (picturesque, on the waterfront).
However I have concerns about how the side will adapt to a new ground without the safety blanket of GP. I think the match day experience won’t be the same either. Our entire lives we have been going to Goodison Park. There’s a familiarity that made Goodison so special.
Now - we will all find our own matchday routines. Our new chippies, pubs, routes etc.
The reality is:
: Transportation looks disasterous and off the back of the test events, dangerous. No parking and poor public transport routes.
: The gridlock to exit will be hugely problematic due to the lack of space by the waterfront
: It’s going to be more expensive for the match going fans.
: It will be especially unpleasant in the winter.
: Can we recreate the Goodison Park atmosphere? Remains to be seen.
I think the difference between opinions on a forum where half of the people never go the game anyway and actual match going fans differs. I know just as many season ticket holders who are gutted (but understand the reasons why) we're leaving Goodison compared to the ones excited about Bramley Moore. Some are both. The ones having wet dreams about the new ground when they haven't got a clue what its going to be like are just plain weird.
@evertondotcom is entitled to an opinion, even if it doesn't reflect the majority on here.
Let's leave it at that folks.
I am not super negative.
I merely stated I don’t believe it will be what we think and it could be problematic for us.
I stand by it.
Went the last game at GP went the 1st test event, but I still can’t get my head around the fact I won’t be going to GP next season. It’s in my head that I’ll be in my usual seat in the UB weird.
Errr no thanks I think I’ll give that a miss. You could always watch Everton Ladies.
I can't go back cos I can't face walking out again.Errr no thanks I think I’ll give that a miss.
I never doubted that.“you stand by it mate”
end of the day to progress we need to do it
I never doubted that.
I’ve noticed you pick and choose what you want to pay attention to.
Not much but am sure within 5 years the area will be unrecognisable. When my family and I visited in August 2023 and walked by the then-half-built stadium, there wasn’t much commerce in the immediate area, other than the Titanic Hotel and the odd pub. Has there been more development since?
