You're the worst Mr Happy, laughing away there. Goals per game and goals per season aren't the same are they, that's moronic.

Of course they're not the same, not literally anyway, but they're both perfectly valid units of judging a players goal output.

How can you say you've never seen a striker judged on goals per season before? Surely you know that any club worth their salt wants the much sought after '20 goals a season' striker?

That's a much better argument than the 1 in 2 nonsense, although does that mean an average of 20 or more than twenty goals every season? I've never heard it specifically used in relation to a player like this fella did for Calvert-Lewin, that was the whole point.

A bit baffled by that reaction, honestly.

Again, you have never heard a player referred to as a “10/15/20 goal a season striker”?

I'm not sure what you're asking tbh? It's just a soundbite I suppose, it's used to describe players you know will weigh in with loads of goals when fit. Salah, Haaland, Kane etc. Judging strikers on their seasonal output is definitely a thing. In Dom's case, he's not hit double figures in 4 seasons, people are gonna quite rightly point to that record. If it was just one season, I might see your point.

Is Haaland a 30 goal a season striker or a 40 goal a season striker?
