Transfer Rumour Kyle Walker

He was a very good full back, with most of his strengths were pace and the ability to get up and down and cover the centre half's,
Once the pace has gone his game is up, which from what I’ve seen it has.
His off field shenanigans hasn’t helped him either, no ta from me.

Honestly if we are offering this crab a deal (and you know it would be for two years), then there is very little hope. No player would go from a rumoured 180k a week at City to less than 100k a week at Everton (especially if there is interest from the likes of Galatasaray, etc - and even then 100k or anything remotely close to that would be sheer insanity when we're trying to reduce our wage bill and have worked hard to do so).

There are proven issues with this guy's character, and it's clear that his best days are long gone. If we wanted a previously-successful right back with a 'winning mentality' it would have made sense to have just kept Young.

Thankfully (hopefully), I don't think we'll be going in for him and it's just part of the summer silly season rumour mill. That having been said, I wouldn't put it past Everton to once again complete an absolutely absurd transfer that lumbers us with paying about 10m over two seasons for a finished player.

Mpyrs is usually strict when vetting players with dodgy personalities. His of field issues have been shameful. Will be surprised if Mptes wants him.

I’m hoping this rumour has come about from someone mishearing and thinking they heard a guy tell someone called Peter that we were after Kyle Walker.

Idiotic signing
I dont think it is as such, on paper its an upgrade to what we have..

Though he is clearly on the wane... im sure itll be high wages, but experience, still has a bit of pace. It does concern me the rumours over who he is and the shenanighans he gets up too. Id say low risk for 1yr. Expect that would be extended by a year if it suits both parties.

Horrible signing. He looks finished
He looks absolutely miles off for England the other day , which is obviously a real worry.

Despite Jake playing well Walker is probably Better than we’ve had at right back but that’s an incredibly low bar . It’s a transfer that certainly doesn’t thrill , I suppose we have to hope he’s more Richard Gough than Davide Ginola but I think most of us would have hoped for better .

Would be a terrible signing.
  1. Absolutely huge wages at present - about 200 grand a week.
  2. Miles past his best on a steep decline - City desperate to offload for free despite him being under contract, and Milan not interested in taking him back.
  3. Massive questions over his personality - surely we don't want to bring in players that could upset a close group of players?
  4. Would ultimately lead to O'Brien pushed back to the bench (unless the plan really is to sell Branthwaite) as he wouldn't join us without being guaranteed a start.
  5. Would be no kind of long-term solution - O'Brien impressed last season and the idea must surely be to improve on him, not take a 35-year-old whose only main attribute - his speed - has long since left him.
  6. What motivation does Kyle Walker have to leave Manchester City and join Everton? If he joins us it's due to him not wanting to relocate.
If this is the extent of our ambition this summer it's a awful sign.
Not a cats chance in hell we're giving a 35 years old left back 200 grand a week.

Ffs Kyle Walker. The mistake against Senegal shows how he isn’t up to it anymore. What happened to young players with sell on value.

I really feel we have plugged the leaks and no one has a clue.
