Potter played with Welbeck and Maupay at Brighton....

Also West Ham totally maxed out last summer on transfers which largely flopped. Seems they can't sign anyone decent until they flog Kudus for about 60m so basically feeding on free transfer scraps for next six weeks.

Both technically better footballers than Dom.

Personally banking on Brentford.

Well West Ham keep signing targetman strikers so Potter is a poor fit unless they change strategy.

I can see him being offered to West Ham, Fulham, Leeds and a few clubs abroad by his agency so see which one bites.
Leeds have just signed a striker, so it won't be them.

All our old players end up on Villa's bench anyways.

Good luck to the lad wherever he goes. I don't wish him any ill will but the time had come to part ways. He gave us some good moments but it had become clear a while ago that he was no longer capable of being our number one striker on anything near a regular basis.

Happy to see the back of Dom and all but draw the line at anything that could be considered as praise of Neil Maupay.

Calvert Lewin is levels above that waster.

If we're being honest he's only ever really flopped here. With the ball on the deck, he's better than Dom, we just never played it on the floor to him. Same with Welbeck...and we all know that when Welbeck was linked with us moons ago majority turned their nose at him.

He's done alright though. At Marseille now, champs league football unless they turf him out.

He’s hated mostly by people who “get what Reform is saying though”. Everyone else is mostly ambivalent about him, apart from performative libs who adore his values.

Good luck wherever he goes, shame we didn’t get a fee for a profit on a £1.5m punt so put towards a replacement.

You forgot "I'm not racists but...."

Marseille have done alright, Maupay hasn't. He was largely benched in the last part of the season and when he did play, most games he didn't even have a shot. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nea.../217115/saison/2024/wettbewerb/FR1/verein/244

I respect your commitment to your beliefs if nothing else because good golly.

For me Maupay is right up there with the worst ever Everton signings/players. Did nothing on the pitch and was openly disruptive off it. Dom's career ultimately has been a disappointment but for me there's no comparison between the 2 whatsoever, DCL is miles clear. And dont like the guy fwiw.

Maupay wasn't making matchday squads for Marseille last season and is about to be punted to Coventry where he belongs. Dom will definitely end up at a top flight club albeit probably as a back up.
