maybe it is subliminal? Also, free from desire needs to be erased from reality.
There’s been some serious spending already by a number of top teams that you would have thought would have been already leveraged / compromised to the tits.
I listened to documentary on YouTube by Alfie Potts Harmer and he went into detail on the financial rewards for the world club cup. As you could probably guess, it’s basically just another way the status quo can be perpetuated with the prize money of 1 billion to be split between various teams.
Apparently….. the prize money has been financed by, at FIFAs request, the Saudi PIF who have given DAZN TV (who have been making losses year on year) 1 billion and they have, in turn, then paid FIFA 1 billion to show the games.
This will obviously allow for more breathing space for some of those top teams when signing players as well as padding out revenues etc. For example, the New Zealand part time team who got drilled 10 by Bayern are getting £6m which in a part time league with an average salary of £70 a week is going to reduce competition significantly.
DIsappointed in those who are watching this sham.
In the UK you don't really get a chance to watch the South American teams, and I am interested to see how they do facing off against European teams in competitive (I guess) matches.
Now granted, seeing Miami get in just because they have Messi and Bayern destroy a gang of Kiwi plumbers is a bit daft. Moreover, I don't like the direction the game is headed in and think a super league is sadly inevitable. But you know, it's footy, it's free to watch, South American teams and their fans are always fun to watch.
I get your point about seeing sides you wouldn't normally watch but I counter that with the fact that you are basically watching the equivalent of a billionaires toy.
They are shouting 'dance for me' at the players and expecting people to lap it up as some kind of benefit for all football.
Don't disagree with what you're saying mate but that's pretty much all of football now. Every prem team is owned by billionaires and states, it's becoming a closed shop as well as we've seen the last two seasons. It's already too late to stop it being a globalised game imo. So in the meantime I am going to enjoy Boca fans going mad tonight.
Auckland's amateur players have a salary cap of 150 New Zealand dollars (around £66) per week, while Harry Kane is reported to be earning £400,000 per week at Bayern. On that basis, it would take Auckland's best-paid player about 117 years to earn Kane's weekly salary.
Blatter, at least, came with an element of ironic comedy. Infantino is full-on fash. He doesn't even hide it. Could you imagine Blatter playing comedy jester to Trump in the oval office? Nah, me neither. Blatter, at least, brought a World Cup to Africa. Infantino actually lives in the Gulf...I mean, you can make it seem like an injustice re this point, but since their founding 20 years ago, theyve won the Title 10 times, the OFC Champions League 13 times, so it's not like it's something that much of a closely fought league.
The whole DAZN and $1bn deal stinks to high heaven though. Genuinely makes me sad seeing PIF sprawled across the World Cup.
Microsoft Teams
Infantino one of the biggest scabs in Football History.
Far, far worse than Blatter, and his corruption is so blatant he doesn't even seem to hide it.
