Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

There was the partying under lock down and the drink driving where he drive into a row of parked cars. Then the Mendy case. Mendy was cleared of tape eventually, but Grealish seems to have been in the same room for each of the alleged acts.
A good player? Yes. But when does jack the lad become a burden

Jack Grealish arrives in Liverpool to sign for Everton...

He's obviously good. Used to quite like him until every game he just started falling over. Was embarrassing at goodison the other year. Straight swap for Jackie H would be an improvement

Saw on a YouTube station, where they said city only want to loan out mcatee and not sell him....you can't loan 2 players from same club, so if that was the case, I'm more in the mcatee camp.
I do feel however, that Grealish coming would probably entice other targets we have, in coming here.

If we get Grealish on loan, on half his wages then I would take him.

Permanent deal for £50m is a bad decision, given his age. Any wages over £150k is a big risk..
Odds per Oddschecker are drifting out as far as 6/1 today, but the question is, how much is a season of Jack worth to Everton?

Contract amortisation aside, at the reported 300k pw his total remuneration costs are £15.6m pa.

Would we pay City that? I have no idea.

I suspect we hold an interest but when faced with the actual numbers involved it won’t stack up.

I guess it may well depend on how high other bidders are prepared to go.

But from our side you’d figure that - given our other pressing needs - we probably won’t offer anywhere near meeting City’s total season costs on him.
