Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Well that was startlingly familiar. The highlight being Henderson looking terrified with the ball at his feet but somehow in the running for man of the match and the Ballon d’Or.

Am sure that some of these managers who are enigmatic, eccentric, and slightly arrogant when talking to media forget that you can’t just decide how you want to set up and play, and that’s it, it will just work because of their divine genius. The opposition does have a say in things. Easy to blame effort and attitude. So boring and rigid.

Pickford hasn't been challenged, or something, apart from being England's keeper for how many years now, how many clean sheets, and playing in one of the top leagues in the world.

Still, Henderson deserves his chance to keep a clean shee ...

Oh.
Preferred He Person myself.

😉

When you think what a decent job Southgate did but got hammered in the press. Imagine how much a German manager is going to get roasted. Gonna be too much pressure going into the world cup and we never gonna win it anyway.

Ndiaye is going to be great for us next season. I have a good feeling about it.
Our entire game plan should be to get him on the ball as much as possible and give him licence to do what he wants. He sometimes plays safe when I don't think he needs to. His touch, ball manipulation and strength are absolutely world class. Genuinely a pleasure to watch such a naturally gifted player.

Yup, especially with Gana and Ndiaye in the Senegal team.

This is one of those "thoroughly unlikable" England eras. To be fair, has been like that since about 1966.
Never had any affinity to the national team.
Always had the feel of just another London club when I was a kid.
Only ever shown any interest when an Everton player was involved and only for their performance.
Then it became a media selected squad from the darlings of the time.
Arsed with any of that.

Nothing over the last 50yrs has changed.
Still not the slightest interest.

Haven’t seen much of Lewis-Skelly as Arsenal bore me to tears. People reckon he’s very good, and he looks proper focused for a young lad, head always on a swivel. But he gives off really terrible vibes. What’s that all about?

Concerning the “ London “ bit , I honestly feel that if our Holy Trinity had played at a London club they would have been the England midfield
