They could do what brighton have done which is sell their valuable players and reinvest the money in several young players to improve the squad
Brighton dont have the same expectations and pressures to get a successful long term signing policy as we do.

Brighton would have had uneven progression with that - if we did it it'd be scrapped almost immediately on the first season of failure.

Yes but these buggers make 13 billion turn over, run a successful business and have made Roma a top 6 team who reached 2 European cups.

We aren’t dealing with Bill who was skint or moshiri who was a front for usmanov
Roma were already a top 6 team, they still are.

Their task here is much harder, turn a bottom six/bottom half team to a top 6, won't be easy but they have goodwill and a little time on their side to make that happen.

The best way for TFG to show ambition is not by going on some random Moshiri transfer splurge to win newspaper headlines in my opinion.

They need to show ambition by building stronger foundations in every area of the club on and off the field. Drive up commercial revenues. Optimise use of BMD. Acquire and develop Nelson Dock and elsewhere to expand the club’s footprint. Hire/retain good people in every department. Invest in enhancing Finch Farm. Strengthen the academy. Rebuild the women’s organisation and optimise the platform at Goodison. Make sensible player investments for the men’s first team.

Continuously look to improve everything in every area. That is genuinely ambitious.
You are 100% correct. What you have suggested requires time and patience. We need to give the owners that.

Without sounding weird, why would they want tk develop the women’s team. In my opinion women’s football should be completely separate from men’s football. As much as it’s come on, it’s a complete other sport.

So TFG have gone and nicked a couple of execs from the 49’s group and the 49’s in turn have appointed our former DoF and Dan Purdy to Sporting and Technical Director roles at their newly acquired Rangers (or are they across Rangers and Leeds?)

Be interesting to see who’s got the better end of that little merry go round in due course.

49ers Enterprises moving people in place and clearing below the decks, before they jump ship from Leeds and join in with the School of Science perhaps ?

This story might be worth following.
My hometown club (I was an avid fan till I emigrated) are owned by a group that also owns a Danish side.
Both have quailified for the conference league but UEFA will only let one play (the Danish side because they finished higher in their league despite Drogheda qualifying through the cup)
Drogs in discussion with UEFA now.
But I dont see how a situation where Everton and Roma qualify for, say, the Europa league, would be any different.
