2024/25 Abdoulaye Doucoure

This. A few have said he single handedly saved us. But he was part of the cause.

He also downed tools on a manager during that very same season. And if you down tools on the manager to the point you aren’t even warming up and sitting on the ball, then by default you are downing tools on the club and therefore the fans. Yeah speak out about it but don’t make a mockery of it in public.
Yes it’s hilarious this take, about how
Much he loves the club and the fans and would die for the shirt, that changed the minute he didn’t get picked. And the guy is picking up 120k a week, to be c u next Tuesday on the training ground, walking off half way through sessions, being disrespectful, what a message to send to the young players training with the first team and like what you’ve mentioned, the sitting on the ball during a warm up. As far as I’m concerned these are professionals and get paid a fortune for the job they do, personally I have no love for any of them, including the Everton fans who play for us, once your time is up, there’s the door.

Looks like he's gutted

…..I think he’s genuinely sad to be leaving. We can be cynical about his salary but there were tears when he left the pitch against Soton. He’s been here a long time, his family might be very settled. At the end of the day, though, he’s a professional at the back-end of his career and he’ll go where the best offer is.

I can remember posters being gutted when he got injured, wondering how we’d cope without him. He’s been terrific for us, but this time comes to them all. As we saw with Gomes last season, despite this place being a madhouse at times, our ex-players usually feel very fondly about our club.
