Would have been damn close though,

It works out at 28.12 points after 37 games. So 28 points and going into the final day still at risk.

Instead we are 20 points clear and getting an additional £12m in the bank.


Edit: Not sure the stats are right though. He managed 19 and had 17 points. Which is 0.89 points per game. Which would have us on 33 points. Still in 17th mind.

For me next season DM has to get the signings to give us far more pace two good overlapping fullbacks & a playmaker & a back up striker for Beto & a younger side to push on !

also not necessarily true

if we were in the mix still to go down whos saying one of the other teams doesnt manage to put a run together, with an actual target. part of the reason theyve not picked up points towards the end is that they were basically all gone by the end of february

it’s also influenced the likes of ipswich and leicester sticking with their managers, had they had a sniff mckenna or RVN may have got the boot and someone like Moyes could have kept them up at the expense of us
