Absolutely tugs at the heartstrings every time I see it, and then the fans join in. I think seeing the woman crying is what broke me!
sadly, they were otherwise engaged.Fair enough; maybe that was a bit snarky. I do think they could have raised the bar on what counted as a legend, though. It was a bit of a comedown from Peter Reid and Andy Gray to some of the people in the 2000s.
Maybe I’m an elitist, but this was the last game at a ground that has seen Eusebio and Pele. I think I’d rather have had half the number of players and a higher bar for an invite.
The previous two games vs them this season beg to differ. But yeah, on paper, couldn’t have picked an easier game for the Goodison send off. And we went about it professionally and controlled the game and put ourselves on the front foot, even if we did dip towards the end.Thank God we had Southampton today. No disrespect to them, but there are the only team in the league we were guaranteed to beat. Even then we still made hard work for ourselves in the second half. Big work is needed in the summer because outside of a couple of exceptions that's one utterly dogdirt team we've got there.

Spot on. Cant afford to wait until mid-august to make our moves. Look where Spurs are today, with their brand new 60k seater...Thank God we had Southampton today. Don't deny he was a great player, don't deny he was probably responding to abuse, just don't think he should of been invited. Rooney is a bit different because, he was thrown under bus by Bill Kenwright. Arteta got a bit of stick when we won 3-0, didn't start gobbing off about Everton. Distin, Osman, Anichebe and Tim Howard got abuse while playing for us, yet didn't react on social media. Don't mind players like Rooney, Pienaar, Richy, Stones Felaini or Lukaku leaving to play in Champions league. Lescott went to a club who had finished beneath us and weren't in Europe. Arteta didn't down tools to force a move, neither did Stones, Lescott did.Was maybe the swipes in replys to abuse he got?
If you can't take it, then don't give it out.
Simple really.
He was a great player for us.
Presumably they'll devote a good chunk of the broadcast to it.motd, murphy and keown, and we're not first. hmmm.
This bbc is infested with something besides idiots.Presumably they'll devote a good chunk of the broadcast to it.
