If anything, Everton FC continues to be the people’s club. The club that is truly deep with Liverpool ties. We predate the RS. Hill Dickinson predate Everton. Liverpool is a city associated with the water, shipping, and blue color. That’s what it means to support the blues. But since the early 1800’s, the city has grown. It’s more multinational. The city is growing. And it’s time for Everton to do that, too.

In my opinion, we are the real winners of being the team from Liverpool. Blue collar and blue jerseys. The RS might have whatever they think they have. But so many of their fans outside of Liverpool love them for shallow reasons. We have a great stadium on the water. It’s a focal point. The Mersey is the life and heart and soul and reason for the birth and growth of the town. And that’s where we sit. So suck it, RS.

As we go modern like the city, we keep the ancient ties to the river. The ties that predate Goodison which is the law firm, and the modern look with the nods to the past with the natural look of areas of the dock and old buildings that were retained. Ancient, old, modern, futuristic. Just like Liverpool.

I doubt this deal will get renewed to gain that time and perspective angle. Unless we (& they) are doing REALLY well, they'll have gained that exposure they wanted, so likely it will end up being a 10 year thing and we'll see what comes next.

The bigger the company the more likely they will just keep it going, like with the Emirates which will now be into the 20th year. I can't see how HD fits into that category.

Better than going without the 6 million, Amortization makes that cover the cost of a 30 million pound player on a 5 year deal.

The Esk is suddenly ITK again to some. It’s been pretty much proven that he knows nothing about the inside dealings of the club. Still 6 million would put us on par with Juventus and the likes, so still good, but I wouldn’t listen to a word from him on anything.
