Was just going to say that. 2000 people 11 times a season is not even touching the sides in comparison to 40,000 19 times. Not going to quite be the same as 40k there every other week, no disrespect but the women's crowds are not going to keep local business afloat as they know it now.
Arsenal and Chelsea women get huge crowds so I can't see any reason why we can't at least average 10k. Prices are cheap and it's a good standard. Add to that the Goodison factor. Was just going to say that. 2000 people 11 times a season is not even touching the sides in comparison to 40,000 19 times.
What will the capacity be ? Will this be financially sustainable considering maintenance , attendance?
overall I like the idea. My only gripe is that I’d rather the women moved it once the remodelling of the stadium is done.
Feels a shame that Goodison as it stands isn’t going out with the fanfare of Sunday. Instead, the reality is, we’re going to have a half closed stadium hosting women’s games while it’s tore down bit by bit.
I’d feel it was much more fitting for them to move into a remodelled goodison that is the first purpose women’s stadium.
Yeah i agree. Community hub and other planed facilities would have been ideal for the local area. If they incorporate those services into a redeveloped GP then great, but I won’t hold my breath.
UEFA are looking into their accounts at the end of the season.Doesn't seem to be preventing Chelsea
An average of 10,000 would put us second behind Arsenal (who themselves have had half a dozen games with attendances under 6,000 this season) so I think there probably are reasons why we're not likely to see that sort of increase overnight.Arsenal and Chelsea women get huge crowds so I can't see any reason why we can't at least average 10k.
