13 starts and 8 goals in the league. 12 of those starts under Moyes (with 7 goals) and only 1 start under Dyche

2 starts in League Cup and 1 goal
2 starts in FA Cup and 1 goal

He was shockingly underused by Dyche even when DCL wasn't scoring. Check his stats, 8 games where he didn't get a minute and the most minutes he had as a sub was Saints away (26m) where he should have buried a header and was so unfortunate to have a great goal ruled out for offside.

So, from a real raw goals standpoint, he's miles ahead of what others provide. He's missed about 6 great chances as well so think of how insane his stats could have looked if he'd slotted the big chances missed against Brentford, Wolves, the rs, Southampton

You need more than just goals. He offers not much else, the fact he’s got 8 goals is fantastic from a selling point of view, we may get our money back

His link up play improved for a few weeks but think it's reverted to type again which is a shame. Definitely a better goal option than anyone else at the club apart from Keane. In an ideal world we'd want better but we aren't at that point yet. Far from it.

The Southampton away one I think was am absolute piss take of a goal to chalk off. Unlucky against the rs to have one chalked off.

He's got massive flaws which are there for all to see and I don't think Moyes will have him as first choice. But we've got to be very careful in selling a striker who actually has proven he has goals in him, far more than DCL, Broja and Chermiti and looked more robust than all 3 combined.

It's probably pretty telling right now that all four were available today, and Beto didn't sub out until the 90th minute.

Beto - 43 shots this season (possibly prior to today). Has hit the woodwork twice as well.
His conversion rate must be one of the best in the league?

Correct mate, we may get our money back and yes we do need more but as things stand we can say "DCL offers this" and "Chermiti offers that" etc but we have 4 strikers and only one scores goals consistently.

Broja is done, Chermiti the jury is out, DCL is leaving on a free. Letting 4 go and replacing them with 4 is a huge ask. So, if i had to keep 1 of the 4, I know who I'd be keeping

As a back up option? I'd probably keep him unless he needs to be sold to fund a quality striker.

I still do.

I still think Calvert-Lewin is the better overall footballer. So does Moyes - Beto wouldn't have got a sniff without him getting injured.

... I'm not blinkered and I've dug out some stats to present a very valid question around Beto.

What part about what I said was slating Beto? He IS uncoordinated. He ISN'T "great" at anything. But he scores goals. Which is a hell of a lot more than Dom does.

Rom was levels above Beto but he also had a tendency to send a ball flying with his first touch at times.

It's far from ideal and dictates how we have to play when he's on the pitch, but end of the day he's a natural finisher and we're a team desperate for goals. Real handful physically as well in a league where that is massively important.

No idea what wage he's on, but I would imagine it's a much more palatable amount for us to be paying someone who maybe isn't going to be first choice. Certainly in comparison to DCL who I highly doubt would take a pay cut if he was to re-sign.

Yes I get what you mean, but apparently the club are speaking with DCL . Who knows if this is true and many won’t like it, but selling Beto for 25mil, allows us to buy a 30 mil striker delap? And a 30mil winger . We get nothing for DCL
