New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I'm charging my cordless angle grinder battery as we speak and have sewn a massive pocket in my jacket to sneak it into the ground.

Could you get me about 20 seats please Lou. I'm building my own Everton themed home cinema so this would be ideal.

I've already got a 20ft steel beam going right through the middle of the room and through the floor/roof and the screen is a letterbox screen so I've gone for a real authentic lower bullens back row feel.

Anyone else think that as good as the stadium looks, the lack of ‘Everton’ specific logos, signage etc should be looked at?
Even a simple EFC in white seats at the south end would make a big difference.
Hopefully now relegation is officially dead, the board (and board ‘observers’) can focus on the new stadium.
Making it feel like Everton’s home should help offset some of the sadness of leaving Goodison.

You realise we have months now for these final touches?

Having said that I think a modern stadium in such an iconic former industrial location needs very careful "branding"

Agree that there’s still time but would be good for the club to update what the next steps are at a high level - we are all interested in our new home.

While I agree with the seats, I’m not expecting to see EFC or any Everton branding on them, I fully expect our Texan overlords to flog every millimetre of usable space for sponsor branding (unfortunately)
I think the ‘Evertonisation’ of the stadium will remain subtle due to the general design, think Allienz Arena for example. Very little Bayern or Munchen (when they were there) branding.
Some of the wind mitigation bits and there’s some fabric flat type stuff to hand from the lights etc iirc.
Think if it were to be any bolder it would have been on the renderings and artist impressions long before now.
Think this ⬇️ is as much as we can expect and tbh I’m content with it (albeit would still prefer the East and West roof elevation lighting to be more of a glow than the camp stove effect)

Aye good points.

Are there any plans to place a couple of statues on the blue brick plinths?

I realise there are a few months to make our new home feel like home but in my view we have to bring our statues with us. I get that Dixie scored his 60th at Goodison but we can always leave plaques, murals etc to commemorate our great history and other figures like him at or near the site + whatever remains of Goodison for the ladies team (If indeed that happens) will also provide a place to go to for people who want to reminisce but we have to jump in 100% with the new ground or it will begin to feel soulless particularly if our on the pitch history of the last 20-30 years continues - it starts with zero history and we need to feel it as our home now not wait until we've won trophies or had some great cup nights to build up its history.
