Glastonbury 2025

I first went in 1987.
And nearly every year since 2007.

I've been fortunate to work at Glasto for the last three years and will probably do so this year.

The line up is getting 'worser' and 'worser' each and every. My bands are getting lower and lower down the poster.

It has lost its magic. It's gradually becoming more commercial. Money orientated. Especially since Mean Fidler/Benn got involved.

Oh, and yet wasteful. Last year (2024) they took delivery of 20 brand new Land Rovers. That's for a three day festival. Ok, and the month surrounding it.

It's largely bars and food stalls. The special, magical surprises are becoming scarcer.

Not only do they charge the vendors pitch fees, they also insist that food is purchased through the festival. Thereby increasing profits.

The security is horrendous for those of us that come and go throughout the festival.

Rant over. Don't be envious. It's nothing special.

After some advice, my mates daughter can’t go, Is there anyway he can go in her place? Without donning a wig and trying to be a 21 year old woman.

Line-up announced today which will no doubt provoke the usual mixed reviews. Once again an uninspiring set of headliners for me and you need to look at the undercard which, once more, is looking pretty decent. Stand out for the whole weekend for me is Wunderhorse, probably my favourite band right now. But there's also other great acts like Amyl and the Sniffers, Ezra Collective, Wolf Alice, Inhaler, Kneecap, Blossoms and English Teacher. Plus some old faves like The Prodigy, Alanis Morrisette, Gary Numan, Deftones, St Vincent, Nile Rogers and Selector.

What do you all think?
I think the artists are getting worse and worse by the years.

No chance I'm afraid, they check photos and more than likely will get there and not be let in

Wasn’t too impressed with the lineup when it was announced, but seemed to get better when looking at the acts further down the list.

Sadly, my nobhead employers still won’t give me the Monday off, so may have to head home Sunday afternoon and probably miss The Prodigy :(

Looking forward to seeing Bob Vylan on a bigger stage. Saw them at a smaller venue in Bristol last year and they were ace live.
